Lauren, the gorgeous bride to be celebrated her Hen’s night with friends and family in Sydney. The bride and her bridesmaids (one of which is me!) stayed at the Westin Hotel in Sydney’s Martin Place for the evening so spent a few hours of the afternoon relaxing with some bubbles, while getting their makeup done.
Kicking off the festivities, guests met at the Light Brigade in Paddington for some drinks and a chance to chat to Hen before the rest of the night got underway. As there were a few games to played throughout the course of the evening guests were also split up in to the appropriate teams and mingled before dinner commenced.
Wearing a beautiful flower crown, Lauren looked flawless on her special day and was keen to enjoy the night! Moving on for dinner guests headed upstairs for a delicious meal in the private dining room of La Scala restaurant.
A few weeks ago I was asked to photograph Jack’s christening which was held at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Greystanes. Surrounded by close family and friends, his parents were overjoyed to share in their special day with their gorgeous son Jack. Blessed by the priest, the god parents also played a major part in the christening and the ceremony itself was very beautiful.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Fox Hills Golf Club for a buffet lunch and to spend some time with the parents and of course darling little Jack! It was a beautiful venue, with a private dining space for guests to enjoy overlooking the lush greenery of the golf course.
A sunny Sunday morning in Watson’s Bay, the perfect setting for a engagement party brunch. This is exactly what most of the guests who arrived for Jordana and Brett’s special day thought were in for. Little did they know, that in just over an hours time the happy couple would become husband and wife!
As guests arrived at the house of Jordana’s parents, they were treated to beautiful fresh breakfast treats, coffees and juices. Many of the guests mingled amongst themselves, taking time to wish the happy couple all the best for their recent engagement. Only a select few in the crowd were in on the little secret.
As Jordana and Brett stood up to say a few words many in the crowd were none the wiser, only assuming the couple were standing up to thank them all for attending and sharing in the special day. What happened next had quite a few of the guests in shock! The couple announcing that not only were they planning on getting married, they were doing so in 30mins time!
The guests were directed down the stairs towards Gibsons Beach where the chuppah was set up ready for the wedding to take place. Jordana and Brett followed behind accompanied by their parents, walking them towards the ceremony all holding hands as Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ played.
After the ceremony, I headed to capture some gorgeous photos of the newly married couple! We had the perfect backdrop of Watson’s Bay and surrounds which made for some beautiful photographs of the pair. Looking so in love, Jordana and Brett were naturals in front of the camera so it made my job very easy!
Once back upstairs at the house, it was time for some words from the groom about his gorgeous wife and the afternoon’s festivities. Brunch was served up in the kitchen and guests were invited to help themselves to so many delicious treats. All in all, a perfect surprise Sunday wedding with a gorgeous couple!
Kalah celebrated her 30th birthday in style at the Oaks in Double Bay with family and friends! Hiring out one of the rooms, she treated guests to delicious food and drinks and mingled the night away with guests. What can only be described as amazing, was the centrepiece for the nights festivities, a tower of amazing donuts for the birthday cake!
Friends also surprised her with a flamingo cake which was also magnificent! After a touching speech from her father, everyone sang Happy Birthday, before the birthday girl opened a gift which all of her friends had contributed to – a stunning Hermes bracelet!
Beautiful little Meera celebrated her first birthday with family and friends at a park in Sydney on probably one of the hottest days of the year!
Thankfully, the parents had thought ahead, and supplied all the children with cold drinks, bubble wands and water pistols. This made for the perfect party as the kids (and adults!) ran around enjoying the sunshine and squirts of the water gun.
Meera was spoilt with lots of cuddles, gifts and cake on her special day. She even managed a nap in the heat!
Zoe | A Quirky Bird - Oh that floral crown looked so gorgeous on her and what a beautiful hen gathering. Your photos, so gorgeous. Zoe xx
leah - Oh, thanks Zoe – I thought she looked stunning on the night!
Shari from GoodFoodWeek - Just beautiful photos. I am about to post about my friend’s hens night that I organised. She didn’t want a traditional hens night so we organised a very unhenny 1950’s affair – where we screen printed tea towels for the bride and then had a lovely dinner on Crown Street.
leah - Oh wow, that sounds like such a fun and different hens night!
Malinda @mybrownpaperpackages - What a great way to celebrate a hens night – loving that flower crown.
leah - Thank you Malinda, isn’t the flower crown stunning!
Maxabella - What a LOVELY night! I think this is a sign of beautiful things to come for Lauren. Especially her wedding!! x
leah - I am certainly on the countdown now for the big day! I just know she is going to look stunning!
Sonia Life Love Hiccups - What an absolutely gorgeous way to celebrate a hen’s night. You guys make one absolutely STUNNING bridal party chick xx
