I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous dietician and nutritionist Lyndi Cohen to update her website images and media portfolio during February this year. This also coincided with the launch of a new program she is running called Keep it Real which kicks off on May 16th. The program is a 10-week step-by-step program and community that is personalised to you to help end the weight struggle, emotional eating and anxiety.

Lyndi is always such a pleasure to work with, and I love the fact she comes to our sessions with clear ideas in her mind of her brand and what she wants to achieve for her images. This certainly makes my job easier, and working together is always such a collaborative experience.

Lyndi is a regular media nutritionist dietitian on Channel 9’s TODAY and TODAY Extra shows, a Nutrition consultant currently consulting to some amazing organisations and proud to be Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Ambassador as well as a trained nutrition speaker and presenter.

If you are interested in learning more about Lyndi’s new program, make sure you check out Keep It Real – A transformative guide to help you end emotional eating, combat anxiety and stop struggling with your weight.

“No ‘body’ is perfect. That is why I have a strict NO PHOTOSHOP policy. In order to be real, honest and ‘stripped bare’, no images of me are photoshopped – and they never will be!”

Binalong Bay is a small coastal town in north-east Tasmania, situated at the southern end of the Bay of Fires. Originally a fishing hamlet, the town is now a village with a large proportion of holiday dwellings. It was our first stop on the east coast of Tasmania and we were amazed at the sheer beauty the region has to offer.

The area is one of the most scenic and beautiful places in Tasmania, from the blue sea and fine white sand to the orange-tinged boulders that hug the coast. The small beachside community boasts a beautiful stretch of clean white sand and clear water that has been luring holiday makers for decades. With so much natural beauty, it’s no wonder that Lonely Planet named the Bay of Fires one of the world’s hottest travel destinations.

The coastal landscape features rocky gullies, small secluded beaches, shore-hugging forests and the orange lichen-coloured boulders that many now associate with the name. Binalong Bay and the Bay of Fires offer all kinds of outdoor activities, from scenic coastal walks and beachside fun to some of the world’s best game fishing.

Fascinating sea life can be seen on local guided tours, revealing panoramic views of the coastline and a diverse range of sea life including whales, seals, shearwaters and sea eagles. The Bay of Fires Conservation Area offers beach-side camping and the elevated sites amongst the acacia trees have amazing views of the coast and sea. Binalong Bay is a 2 hr 30-min drive (170 km) from Launceston.

Tasmania has many stunning locations to visit, and the east coast is certainly no exception. From the rugged and rough landscapes that the west coast offer, the pristine clear waters of the east are a beautiful contrast. If you ever have the chance to visit Tasmania I highly recommend seeing as much as the state as possible – you won’t be disappointed!

is always such a big month! Not only is it my birthday, Valentine’s Day, my Mum’s birthday and many friends birthday’s too, I find it to be the month that most people really get back into the swing of work, routine and life after all the summer holiday madness. School starts back, traffic worsens on the roads and everyone really starts to find their groove for the new year.

My ever-growing baby bump!

As we are now officially past the halfway mark, I continue to grow as our little man makes himself more and more known each and every day. His kicks are getting stronger, and his Dad can even feel and see them now! I’m so sure I agree with his 3:30am parties he is currently having in their each and every day right now,  but I guess this is all practice for when he officially arrives in to the world!

A beautiful baby shower!

During February, we celebrated the baby shower of a dear friend. She is roughly 10 weeks ahead of me and having a little girl! I just know our children will be the best of friends! It’s nice to have someone on the same journey as you are, to share stories and ask questions about all the changes happening in our lives. Held at her parents house we dined on delicious food, played games and shared all the excitement of the impending new arrival!

Birthday Lunch – Box on the Water, Ettalong

As both my Mum and I celebrate our birthdays 5 days apart, we always celebrate with a combined lunch or dinner! This year we headed to Ettalong to the Box on the Water, and enjoyed a beautiful lunch on the waterfront. It was a lovely warm day with the sun shining and water crystal clear!

The Baby Bump Continues to grow…

We are slowly putting some pieces together for the nursery now, and getting more and more excited with each passing day! As the due date draws closer we can not wait to meet our little man and see what kind of person he is going to become. He already has so much love from family and friends! He is getting so spoilt already, and I know that isn’t going to end any time soon.

Looking ahead to March…

At the end of February I had the chance to work on some exciting photography projects, which will soon be revealed!

I am also photographing my third wedding this month and looking forward to sharing in the couples very special day. There is something so amazing about being behind the scenes during a wedding. I love to capture those intimate raw moments that weddings bring, and although they are BIG days, the end result is always worth it! Plus, who doesn’t love a slice of wedding cake?!

The BOX on the Water is situated in prime position on the newly redeveloped foreshore in Ettalong Beach. Its absolute waterfront location has panoramic views out across Broken Bay to its namesake, Box Head, and over to Sydney’s northern beaches. Architecturally designed with a stylish, contemporary aesthetic, The BOX is just an hour and a half’s drive from central Sydney or twenty five minutes on the passenger ferry from Palm Beach. We took the leisurely ferry ride from Palm Beach which takes 30mins, and is the perfect scenic way to arrive.

Luckily I had made a reservation as this place fills up quickly! Not surprising given it’s location. The restaurant was filled with lots of families and big groups enjoying the gorgeous weather and delicious food. As my Mum and I both share February birthdays, we decided to meet her to enjoy a beautiful birthday lunch. What a way to celebrate!

2017 is well and truly underway…

And this year is certainly going to be different from the last! Here in the Snappystreet household we are all systems go for preparations to meet the newest addition in June. We are also settling in to our new home and suburb of Sydney, so we’ve been spending a lot of time exploring our new local area which is always a lot of fun.

It has been a significant lifestyle change for us, moving from the inner city to the relaxed location of the Northern Beaches. Life is just that little bit slower paced, there is more space and nothing beats ocean strolls and sandy feet. I really feel like we have made the best decision as we get ready to welcome a new member to the family – what a place to grow up!

The ever-growing baby bump!

It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has gone so far. Pregnancy certainly brings with it good days and bad days, but overall we are just so excited for what the future brings. We’re enjoying every moment we see him ultrasounds, hear his tiny heartbeat and now I’ve even started to feel movements. I am looking forward to the day that they’re strong enough for everyone else to feel too, that will be a special day!

Ladies Who Lunch – Nour, Surry Hills

Every quarter, a group of us always try and arrange a beautiful lunch and get together usually venturing to a new restaurant or bar and spend the afternoon enjoying delicious food, wine and lots of laughter. Things are slowly changing over time, with many of us already becoming mothers (or mothers to be) so it is nice chance for us all to dress up and indulge in a little ‘me time’!

Nour was a fantastic choice, the food was excellent and the decor just beautiful. I can’t wait to see where we all pick for the next ladies who lunch installment.

The Baby Bump Continues to grow…

Having officially hit the halfway mark, it’s hard to imagine in roughly 20 weeks time we will be welcoming our new little baby boy to the world.

I am trying to treasure these moments of pregnancy (let me tell you some days are easier than others!) as it will be gone in the blink of an eye. Preparations are underway for the nursery, classes are being booked in all the while trying to slow down and listen to my body. I never knew you could be SO tired! Although I’m guessing I’m about to learn a whole new level of tired once this little man does arrive.

Looking ahead to February…

I seem to have surrounded myself with fellow Aquarians so it is a month of birthdays for me – including my own! With many celebrations to enjoy, and Valentine’s Day thrown in to the mix as well as a friends wedding it is going to make for a busy month socially.

I also have a few jobs already booked in for February too, which I will be very excited to share once complete! There is a lot happening for the first half of 2017, but I am so grateful to do it all.

What about you?
