Family Session: The Tamborini Family | Sydney Family Photographer

Most parents contact me for a photography session as they want to capture memories of their lives right now. Freeze some moments in time before they blink and the kids have all grown up and moved out of home. This was no exception, and what made this session even more special was the location.

A few years earlier this is where they got married, here at Athol Hall. You could say where their lives began together. And now, they wanted to bring the children here to show them a place that was so special to them and make it a place for all of them to remember.

So as the sun set with the city skyline as our backdrop, we set off on an adventure!

Family Session: The Wilson Family | Sydney Family Photographer

The Wilson family are soon to grow in size to a big family of 5! They really wanted to capture some special memories before life starts it’s new chapter for them all and they picked the most perfect morning and location to do it.

Living so close to the beach at Mona Vale, the Wilson’s thought this was the perfect spot for the boys to have fun and be comfortable during our session. We explored the rock pools and dunes nearby finding many treasures along the way. The boys even stole some quiet moments with Mum and Dad, and reflected on what it is going to be like being a big brother really soon.

I am so glad that they will now have these precious memories to treasure forever and will be able to share with the new family member once they join them very soon!

Family Session: The Severa Familly | Sydney Family Photographer

The Severa family spend most of their time together at the beach, playing, laughing and having a lot of fun! So it made sense for us to do their family session in the exact place that made them so comfortable and enjoy so much of their time.

We were blessed with the most incredible sunrise and an unseasonably warm morning, which meant that the kids could even head in for a swim! After exploring the rockpools and watching the sun rise up over the ocean, we headed down to the beach to build some sandcastles and having some running races as a family.

It really was a picture perfect morning with such a sweet and beautiful family!

Celebration: Sue’s Hen’s Party | Sydney Event Photography

There is something so fun and special about photographing a celebration or event. Everyone knows how much fun a party is, and being there as a photographer is no exception! I love getting a little glimpse into the lives of the people who are being celebrated, and seeing all the love and laughter surrounding them on the day.

To make this event even more special, this was actually a gift organised from two overseas friends who were unable to make the Hen’s party that day. They wanted to show their love for the bride to be Sue, and this was their way of doing that. What a lovely gesture and such a sweet surprise for Sue!

Overlooking beautiful Palm Beach, the party took place in a magnificent home that they had decked out in a Hawaiian theme. The wedding is going to be held in Maui, so it was a fitting theme indeed! Guests enjoyed the delicious grazing table made by some of the guests themselves, while the cocktail waiter served up refreshing drinks on the balcony.

It was a wonderful celebration for Sue, and something she will be now able to treasure forever with photographs to last a lifetime.

Newborn Session: The Marthick Family | Sydney Family Photographer

That newborn bubble.

It’s such a wild, exciting, crazy and incredible time in your life. Amplified even more when it is your first child.

You have no idea what to expect when you bring your new family member home, other than the fact that you can’t believe how it’s possible to love this little thing SO much. Yes, they cry a lot. Yes they feed all the time. Yes, you’re getting zero sleep, but you know what? It’s all worth it when you see that little face. Or they snuggle in to the crook of your arm, or those tiny fingers reach out to grasp your own.

This is why I love in-home newborn sessions. Capturing all those new feelings, emotions and memories in the place you feel most loved and safe.

Little Aria was a dream during our session. She mostly slept, didn’t cry, and enjoyed being the star of the show. The beauty of doing it at home! What a sweet little girl and so adored by her parents.
