Review: Ripples, Milson’s Point | Sydney Lifestyle Photographer
Weekends that involve a long lunch with a view always win in my book! And what better place to do it than Ripples Milson’s Point. Situated next to Luna Park at Milson’s Point under the Sydney Harbour Bridge it is conveniently located next to the ferry wharf or a short walk from Milson’s Point train station.
We were treated to some spectacular weather for our lunch and even though it was a little windy and fresh the restaurant still caters to this with wind protectors that allow you to enjoy the view at the same time! One reason we love to visit Ripples is the BYO option for your meal. This is very important to us, as we love our wine and it is nice to be able to bring something from the cellar and enjoy over a leisurely lunch. Many people around the restaurant were doing exactly the same thing which was nice to see, it can be such a rarity in Sydney to find nice BYO restaurants.
BUFFALO MOZZARELLA grilled sourdough, tomato concasse, basil pesto $20 // MIXED MARINATED OLIVES Sardinian flatbread $12
BRAISED WHOLE LAMB SHOULDER silverbeet, rosemary potatoes (serves two) $72 // STEAMED VEGETABLES, LEMON $9
NEW YORK CHEESECAKE mixed berry compote, Chantilly cream $15
As the sun set was magical, we jumped on a ferry from outside the restaurant and enjoyed the trip around to Darling Harbour. It was the perfect end to a long winter lunch with a spectacular view of the city. If you have guests coming to stay or even just want somewhere nice to dine then I highly recommend Ripples at Milson’s Point. Beautiful location, wonderful food and service!
