The Vogue Fashion Night Out is one of the largest events on the Sydney social calendar, and this year was no exception. Luckily I was selected to be a social photographer for the evening, and I was so thrilled to be part of this amazing event and took the opportunity up with both hands.
It began with a briefing over at Vogue HQ the day before, listing out all activities and activations for the event which covered off quite a large proportion of the CBD. From the QVB and surrounding streets, to Pitt St Mall and all the way up to Martin Place, it really was a true fashion night out! The event was sponsored by Olympus, so we were given an Olympus E-M10 to use for the night. I was assigned Pitt St Mall, Westfield Sydney and The Strand so had a huge task ahead of me!
Festivities kicked off in Hyde Park with performances from Lanie Lane and Elisabeth Rose before officially launching with Clover Moore and Vogue editor-in-chief Edwina McCann announcing the shopping could begin!
Pitt St Mall was a hive of activity with people shopping up a storm at various locations including the very popular H&M pop up store. There were many excited shoppers lining up in the rain to see the new collection being launched that night.
Each store had in-store activations taking place, whether that be DJ’s, makeup touch ups and blow drys, nail salons and champagne it really was a true fashionistas dream come true!
It truly was the experience of a lifetime and these are just a select few from the nights events! All the glitz and glamour of the fashion industry was on show for Sydney to see and no expense was spared for the evening!
Vogue sure know how to throw a good fashion night out!
Did you head along on Thursday night? Have you been to one of these events before?
