Holiday Wanderings… {Part III}

After our whirlwind trip visiting family, we finally made it back to Sydney to enjoy New Years Eve with friends.

This also happens to be the husbands birthday, so we always make an extra effort not to forget it as it seems unfair that everyone else gets a special day, and his is lost among the hype of the big celebrations.

We went out for breakfast, and then enjoyed a lovely afternoon with two friends enjoying some champagne and cheese together to wish him a big happy birthday!

Friends of ours were hosting a NYE party in Potts Point,  and it was wonderful! The building in front of theirs has been knocked down for construction later this year, and they were very lucky to have an amazing view of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House!

We enjoyed the wonderful fireworks all from the comfort of their lovely apartment! No fighting crowds, our bathroom and choice of music for the whole evening – it was perfect!

Did you have a lovely NYE?

Did you get a chance to watch any fireworks where you were?

  • Gah that looks so yummy! I love seeing food photography makes me inspired to cook even though I tend to be a epic failure on that part. I think I need to go on one of those reality cooking shows that help you become more competent in the kitchen! I’m glad you had such a wonderful time!! I think it’s so funny that we are miles apart but both having such wonderful weather! I think most of America is in a deep freeze but not here in the desert! We were toasty warm!ReplyCancel
