Nothing beats a long weekend does it?
We were lucky enough to just have one, and it was wonderful! There is something so nice about having 3 days off. It lets you really have a chance to relax, catch up with friends and even sneak a few household chores (that we all generally loathe doing over a weekend)
We had been invited to a housewarming/birthday party in Coogee on Saturday, so decided that a few of us would meet up beforehand for a catch up over some cocktails and lunch, overlooking the ocean at Barzura.
From here, we headed over to see our gracious hosts for the afternoon – on top of a Coogee rooftop overlooking the beach! It was the perfect afternoon for a BBQ, some drinks and watching the sunset in the distance.
We were even lucky enough to spot some of the fireworks from the International Fleet Review which were being held over in Sydney Harbour.
The next day, the husband and I wandered off to help celebrate my best friends birthday with a picnic in the park!
It was beautiful weather, and she had a great turn out! There was so much delicious food (thanks for amazing wraps!) as well as some amazing cakes and treats. It was nice to relax, and catch up with some people I haven’t seen in YEARS! They came with their adorable babies, who all stole the show for the day – that’s for sure! A big happy birthday to Susie!!
We can’t resist some prosciutto, salami, mortadella, olives and some blue vein cheese! It was the perfect way to finish the long weekend, knowing there is only a few days of work before another weekend is upon us!
Did you have a long weekend where you were?
