Ah, the last full weekend of winter is now complete! As of Sunday, we move in to the delightful Spring! Not that you can tell with this amazing weather we have been having, it has felt like Spring for quite some time now.
The weekend was filled with lots of fun, friends and time in the sun. Friday night was perfect night in with the girls. Good times and gossip were had, essential for any girls night really!
The next morning, the husband and I headed off in the beautiful sunshine towards the city, for a big walk through the streets all the way down to Circular Quay and the Botanic Gardens.
We really love tackling a big walk over the weekends, and try to mix it up as often as possible. Most of the flowers were out throughout the gardens making the the visit even more special.
We love to take a wander through the gardens, as it is where we were married and also held our wedding reception back in 2011. Brings back many wonderful memories!
Saturday night was a farewell party for our friend Ben, who is off overseas travelling for the next 4 months! (Lucky him!) It was fabulous to catch up with everyone who came along to say goodbye – a wonderful Saturday night indeed.
We woke again on Sunday to perfect conditions! After a tasty lunch at the Sheaf in Double Bay, we headed to lay about in the sun at Strickland House. I’ve never been before, so was quite excited at the prospect!
Was your weekend as action packed? I hope the weather was kind to you too!
