While we were away, we took the opportunity one day to explore the area with some bushwalking. We headed to the Boorganna Nature Reserve, which wasn’t very far from where we were staying, and had read about a magnificent waterfall that we really wanted to see.
Rawson Falls have a vertical drop of 40 metres and it was a spectacular sight to see! The walk itself was quite tough, with steep descents down to the base of the falls, but it was certainly well worth the effort.
It was lovely getting out in nature, and exploring the rainforest. So many different types of plant life, birds and creatures were spotted along the way, and the beautiful waterfall was the icing on the cake! I hadn’t been on a bushwalk for years, so this was peaceful and relaxing and were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves.
I think it has inspired us to embark on some closer to home during the warmer months!
